Who said it?

Wangari Maathai (1940-2011) was a Kenyan environmentalist, women’s rights advocate, and founder of the Green Belt Movement, which empowered communities to restore their environment by planting trees. Her work connected environmental conservation with democracy, human rights, and women’s well-being. In 2004, she became the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
