Who said it?

Rachel Carson (1907-1964) was an influential American marine biologist and conservationist whose writings are widely credited with advancing the global environmental movement. She is best known for her groundbreaking 1962 book, Silent Spring, which bravely exposed the structural dangers of indiscriminate chemical pesticide use like DDT. Despite facing fierce opposition from the chemical industry, Carson's meticulous research ultimately transformed public awareness and led to a nationwide ban on DDT and the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
